Under the policy, a domain registrant must face compulsory arbitration if a complainant files a dispute based on the following three justifications:

Confusingly Similar

The ".sg" domain name must be identical or confusingly similar to a name, trademark or service mark in which the complainant has rights.

No Legal Interest

The registrant must have no rights or legitimate interests in respect of the disputed domain name.

Malicious Intent

The ".sg" domain name must have been registered or be used in bad faith. Examples may include registering a domain to sell it to the rights holder, blocking the owner from reflecting its mark in a domain, disrupting a competitor, or creating confusion for commercial gain.
